Stopped in there on the way out of town for Memorial Day. Got a little "sampler" to try some thing out. All in all a good place to eat.
Ribs - Not much rub on them but cooked nicely. BBQ sauce goes good with them.
Brisket - A little on the dry side.
Sausage - Definitely will order that again. Very good flavor and juicy.
Turkey - 2nd best turkey I've ever tasted.
Good selection of sides and they were also tasty. Didn't get to try the nanner pudding but it looked REAL good.

Just drove by this place looks decent from the outside. Says its been in business over 20 years. Anybody know it ? Maybe this is the place Big Dave mentioned a while back or maybe I am just having a bout of Oldtimer's?

Re: Big Daddy's Lavon
For commerical que Big Daddys is a decent place to chow down, We go there fairly often when I want que and dont feel like doing the cooking. I recommend it if you are in the area. But I will say with Bootleg BBQ not that much further down the road I would recommend Bootleg over Big Daddys now a days. Bootleg BBQ is off 276 in Royse City.

Re: Big Daddy's Lavon
It's been voted the best Q in Wylie, TX the last 4 years and is ranked in the top 50 Q joints in Tx. Mr Duncan is the son of J R Duncan who used to own Southfork Ranch of the "Dallas" series fame. Its OK Q. BUt, I have to agree that Larry's stuff over at Boot Leg BBQ is way mo betta.
