Blacks BBQ, Lockhart TX

I think many people like Blacks better than Smittys or Kreuz now, though it wasn't always that way. I'm not sure it's because Blacks has gotten better, or because the other joints can't seem to be very consistent anymore. Either way, Lockhart isn't what it used to be. I'm hoping that when the families get it together and open Schmidt Family Barbecue near Austin, they can get back to serving 5* bbq. Until then, I will keep myself busy with Franklins, John Mueller, Blue Ox, Micklethwait and Stiles Switch.

Just left Blacks and it was fantastic. Beef ribs, fatty brisket and a pork spare. Going to hit up the other 2 after the Shiner 5K tomorrow.
