Yea momma got the chopped I'm a sliced kind of guy. Funny side note I had post op checkup the day after we went and the doc asks how's my eating. I told him ok I had a brisket sandwich from the point. He said so much for you taking it easy and a low fat diet. I just said whoops I forgot.
Thank You to all the fine folks here for all the tips and advice so I can now smoke a chunk of meat and folks actually eat it.

Finally made it to Hutchins in McKinney

Postby bsooner75 » Sat Jun 29, 2013 9:28 pm

We just ate here for the first time tonight. Really solid bbq meal. Brisket and jalapeño sausage were both very good and the ribs were really good.

Hutchins is my favorite barbecue restaurant in Collin County. We eat here at least once a month (usually after church because it is close to my church in downtown McKinney). Really good brisket and ribs, but they have possibly the best smoked chicken I have ever had. Gotta love the free desserts too.

If I was on death row, and was getting my last meal, I would request Hutchins BBQ. It is that good to me. I eat there a few times a month. My family has grown to love it nearly as much as me.

Finally made it out to Hutchins over the weekend. I went with the intentions of getting the all u can eat, but let my head and not my stomach do the ordering. I got the two meat plate with brisket and ribs, with mac and cheese and potato salad. I can't say enough good things about the brisket, it was near perfect. The ribs had great smoke and flavor, the bark just had alittle too much crunch for me, but still a very good rib. Couldn't tell you about the sauce as the meat was fantastic without it. I left stuffed to the gorge, but I need to plan a fast so I can go back for the all u can eat.

While others aren't a fan of 3 stacks, I love their food. I would put Hutchins and 3 stacks in the same category, but the atmosphere and brisket of Hutchins puts it slightly above. Either way I'm happy to have 2 very good BBQ places within 15 minutes of me!!

Haha, turned someone else onto Hutchins!! I love it. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I have tried, but I can't find a better brisket anywhere. On top of how good it is, the prices there are even better.

Local Yocal has Cita's Salsa. It's the best stuff you can buy in a jar. No preservatives so it only lasts 2 weeks, but i've yet to have a jar go over 1 week.

Hutchins BBQ, McKinney TX

Postby bsooner75 » Fri Nov 08, 2013 10:13 pm

Just returned from making myself uncomfortably full at Hutchins once again. Took my Aunt & uncle this time and they loved it as well.

Side note - Hutchins served the best pork rib at last weekends Texas Monthly BBQ fest. My wife & a I both thought so as well as what I've seen some of the other Participants saying on Twitter.

They've also added a cream cheese & brisket stuffed bacon wrapped jalapeño. It is goooooood.
