Any recommendations for great bbq in the general sw area of Houston?

There aint none worthy of patronage, I used to work of of Huoston if it was there I wold have found it. Go for the Mexican or the Sea food and there is always WHATABURGER :mrgreen:
Never met a cow I didn't like with a little salt and pepper.

believe me or not, there's good bbq after hrs in the strip club parking lots.lol

They have some pretty good queue
Its located in a strip mall - so don't miss out on great BBQ because of how the place looks. This place is legit.

Killens BBQ in pearland has some great reviews. Only open on weekends, I think. And lines form

Killens is excellent BBQ. Popup Tent Open on weekends while the Restaurant is being renovated. He is located at the old Pearland HS cafeteria.

Agree, I lived in Houston for 12 years and it was amazing how a city that size, in Texas and you couldn't find a descent BBQ joint.

The worst was Luther's BBQ (got food poison there)

We used to go to a little joint in a strip mall just off of Hobby Airport when we would go down for training. It was good not great but better than Dickeys.
Thank You to all the fine folks here for all the tips and advice so I can now smoke a chunk of meat and folks actually eat it.

Another good one towards spring is corkscrew BBQ. Definetly worth a stop
