Meshacks

Postby Raider18 » Fri Jan 31, 2014 2:32 pm

So this is one of the few TM Top 50'in DFW. It's just a shack with a dark screen window that is raised to take your order and to give you your food. Can't see anyone just hear a voice. Kinda creepy and cool. I'm use to central Texas BBQ with no sauce but this sauced drenched meat was good. You can tell the meat would be good with or without the sauce.ImageImageImageImageImage

Saucing meat prior to service is like a Blind date that turns out to be double bagger IMO :banghead:
Never met a cow I didn't like with a little salt and pepper.

Not impressed with the look of the box.......Are those really canned pork and beans with day old brisket to go with the oversauced Que. That should be a Texas law right there.
How bout some more beans Mr.Taggert? I'd say you've had enough!

I dont think (IMHO) Meshacks should be listed anywhere in any listing for BBQ, but some how they magically
appear and folks will go try them because they are on the list. Its proablly not a bad joint if you
like BBQ Soup, cause they are hiding something with all the sauce. The only positive recomendation
I can give is always go there on a sunny day, cause if it rains you are gonna get get stuck in the
famous mud hole parking lot.
But thank you for your review of the shack in Garland.

You speak of the place as if your ex wife owns it.

That tray looks like the ex wife special, too much baggage (sauce) and just sloppy. :D

Okay, I don't like dredged in sauce either but let's cool it with "Box Talk".

I don't need my BBQ served on a bed of freakin Lettuce , freshly spritzed & polished.

Comp BBQ folks can be a beating when they bring that crap into the real world.

What drives me crazy at Meshaks? Can these people not afford a real knife? For God's sake a pad of paper is cheap, quit writing over the top of each order & flip the darn page!!

No Box Talk, honest opinion of what I thought that mess looked like. Don't know what your beef about comp. cooking is but that is your opinion.
Thats cool, enjoy.

Only food I ever want in styrofoam is a steamed dumpling.

I really mean that. Those darn styrofoam containers are so thermally efficient that they create a steam effect I find deleterious to the taste & texture of most foods. Most notably Hamburgers & Sandwiches but I notice it with BBQ as well.
