I was at costco yesterday. One of the grazing stations had BBQ ribs. Least that is what they claimed it was. Flavorless pork smothered in a sugary sweet sauce. It wasn't good.

Aloha,

I was in Honolulu 2 weeks ago and couldn't find a bbq joint at all! However I tried an "grilled ahi (yellow fin tuna) sammie" at a deli operation near the fish auction. Mesquite wood/charcoal used in the grill.

About a 4 oz piece, grilled medium rare, lightly dressed with a sweet-sour sauce, on a baguette, either a scoop of macaroni salad or some "Nalo-greens" or french fries. Like it so well that I had 3 times in 10 days.... Even had one "to go" for my flight to Seattle.

take care a hui hou,

I had a big old smoked baloney sandwich today. Do that count? Was on a whole wheat bun (to be healthy) with a slice of rat cheese...sliced onyawns..pickled japs and sauce. Mighty good.
