They were out of Grove, Oklahoma?

I think they may be out of business, Im looking for the owner...

Haven't seen it in a long time. Used to see it in the shops up at Tarpon Springs, Fl. ( big Greek community, sponge docks ) but, I believe that this is the company that produced and sold Nick the Greek products, if I remember right.

Nick Mihos, developer and CEO of Nick the Greek marinades and seasonings passed away two years from a long battle with cancer. His line of condiments are lost with him.

Hi Relaxing - thanks for the update and I am sorry to hear about Nick. The letter I sent was returned as well. I guess didn't leave anything behind for other to carry on...I've had a few folks contact me and ask about the products.

I would just like to say that I have been looking for this seasoning for a couple of years now. I was able to get it at the local Walmart. That's actually where I met Nick and he made me realize how wonderful grilled salmon was especially when using his wonderful seasoning. It was great . Back in about 2002 or 2003, Nick the Greek is the seasoning that I bought to season all my meats with for Thanksgiving. We had country spare ribs and cornish game hens. They were off the chain and everyone wanted to know what it was that I had done to the meat. I was always good with this but that year it was extra special. I had family come from CA and AZ and LA. There was absolutely none left for leftovers. It was awesome and I had been singing the praises of Nick the Greek ever since. I even sent some to family in MO and NY to try out and they have been looking for it also. I certainly hopes that someone with the backing reads this post and buys the recipe from Nick's widow. I am so sorry for her loss. He was a really nice guy. If you buy it, don't change the recipe. When something is really good and really remarkable, you don't mind paying a few pennies more. I need a case right now. I would put it in a locked freezer to preserve it. I WILL CONTINUE TO LOOK FOR IT ON THE STORE SHELVES.

Thank you Sheriff. I certainly hope you can get that to going again. I was just telling some coworkers that when I had the seasoning that I got rid of just about everything else in the cabinet that would be used for what I bought NtGr for. Even accent. Nick the Greek woke up my food flavor and no MSG so I did not have to worry about a headache. Please keep me posted. I will be a living, breathing, talking advertisement for the product.

Sounds like this product needs to be redistributed for the good of languishing taste buds everywhere. Good luck with this, Gator, and keep us posted.

Well, yo might have to lean on crazzeee78 again, and you know that Nebraska is just a one day road trip from Coppell!

The issue I generally run into is this - these things are very personal. Many times, there is a lot of feelings, emotions and memories tied up in the business because its family. That is a hard thing to let go and an even harder thing to put a price on. I respect that.

Whats workin against us here is...since they went out of business, the only thing left to buy is the recipe. There are no physical assets, no inventory, no equipment..ect. All that's left is the recipe itself and the value of the name, which I think they let the Trade Mark expire on...so, not much I can offer them in terms of money - the one thing I can do is "carry on" the name and in some way pay tribute to the man, Nick. For some folks, that is worthwhile, for others not - so its really up to his family and what they want to do...

FWIW, SuckleBusters has a good track record with Texas GunPowder. It has been a blessing to that family to see the name come back and is a sense of pride that something Pappy started, lives on. I would do the same for NTG.
