Chili Powder for Ribs or Any Meat

5 ancho chiles, dried
1 chipotle chile- dried
1 habanero chile- dried
2 T. cumin seeds- toasted
1 T. dried Mexican oregano
1 T. paprika
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
using a food processor

Remove stems from dried chiles. Roughly chop dried chiles. In batches- place chiles-their seeds-toasted cumin- Mexican oregano-paprika with cinnamon into food processor. Grind together until it resembles a rough powder. This will take several minutes.
Chili Powder can be stored up to 2 months.
Makes about 1/2 cup

More BBQ Rub

1/3 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. onion powder
1/4 c. sweet paprika
1/4 c. kosher salt
3 T. black pepper
2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. dried basil

Mix together and store in air tight container

Red Crushed Spicy Dry Rub

2 T. salt
2 T. onion powder
1 T. garlic granular
1 to 2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp. SMOKED chipotle powder
1 tsp. dry cilantro's

Combine all dry rub ingredients together.

Dry Rub Seasoning Mix Turkey or Chicken

2 tsp. all-purpose flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. onion powder
3/4 tsp. chicken soup base (McCormicks dry gravy
1/4 tsp. beef soup base
1/8 tsp. dried marjoram
1/4 tsp. pepper coarsely ground
1/8 tsp. dried rosemary crushed
1/4 tsp. dried basil
Pinch dried oregano
large pinch garlic granular
1 tsp. Accent

Another Rub for the Cupboard

Brown Sugar Dry Rub

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. paprika
1 T. black pepper
½ to1 T. Monterey Seasoning
1 T. salt
1 T. chili powder (hot or mild
1 ½ T. garlic granular
1 T. onion powder
2 tsps. cumin powder or more
1 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional

Combine all ingredients - reserve in an air-tight container.

Note~ Chicken-meats-veggies

Note~ Double any rub recipe if using a lot of
