DaHorns wrote:The last batch of pulled pork we made I whipped up a batch of this sauce. I'll tell you what, this is some good stuff!!!
S.C. Mustard Sauce
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup Yellow mustard
1/4 cup onion finely minced
2 cloves garlic pureed
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
Combine ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
For a smoother sauce, blend on high for a few minutes.
DaHorns,
Made your sauce yesterday for my family get-together and my pulled pork, and it was a HUGE hit!!
Everyone really liked the mustard taste and the tart vs. sweet taste that it had. The one thing I did to kind of put my own signature on it, was that I roasted the garlic on the grill while my BCC's were smoking. That way, I didn't have to mince it. YUM!! First time I've ever smoked garlic and I'm hooked!!
Anyway, I really advise everyone to try this great sauce!
Thanks again!

I also made the sauce for the party this weekend. I made a double batch and had numerous requests for the recipe. Of course, I didn't take it with me to share!! They were eating that sauce on pork, sammies, burgers, hot dogs, and potato chips! LOL It actually went over a lot better than my red sauce which was sort of surprising since most people around here buy Kraft or Sweet Baby Ray's. Great recipe and thanks a million for sharing it!

Allie,
I made a double batch by mistake! I started out with too much mustard, and had to do a double batch to make up for it. I was running from the computer to the stove to make the recipe!
But it is a good thing I did, because nobody touched the bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's that I also took along! (I ran out of time to make a sweet red sauce)
The recipe is definately on my recipe to stay list!

This needs to be added to the sauces/rubs section. This is outstanding if you haven't made it!! Love this recipe!! (I always double it by the way)
