I cannot all of the sudden for the life of me remember the name of this sauce I bought at the store.
It was a mustard sauce and it had the word gourmet (not that that means anything), but it was really good and had a black label.
I am doing a brisket for memorial day (quick, raise of hands of those of us who are also) and want to try a mustard sauce to marinade it in, but don't want to buy the sauce.
Anyone have a comparable recipe for this. I tried to search to no avail.
Much obliged.

Re: Mustard Sauce
I don't like sauce, but I wanted to make my wife something to remind her of home. After trying Roxy's sauce recipe, she said it was great. Here is the link:

After simmering I poured the sauce through a mesh strainer to keep it smooth.

Thanks!
About how much does it make? Enough to cover a brisket?
By the way, if anyone on here thinks I shouldn't try this, please let me know.

Looking at the picture, it makes about 3/4 of a squeeze bottle I wouldn't put it on no brisket, PB yes.

Re: Mustard Sauce
I wouldn't ruin a brisket with no Mustard. Worcestershire is the only way to roll.
Never met a cow I didn't like with a little salt and pepper.

Re: Mustard Sauce
I wouldn't put it on a brisket either. It reminds my wife of home, and it rounded out her pulled pork and slaw sandwich.

Re: Mustard Sauce
I ended up using light brown sugar since that's all we had.
