bbq rubs

I live in Panama City, FL and i'm in need of a good bbq rub for a butt I`m ganna smoke tomorrow, there's not a lot to chose from really so I need a little help maybe picking one off the shelf, or putting one together if its not to much trouble, id prefer to buy one off the shelf if you have any ideas for me, thanks for the help guys..

What are you smoking? Makes a difference.

Meanwhile, so they will be handy for next smoke, order some Hoochie Mama, my go to rub on any kind of poultry but nice on anything. Get some Competition rub and while you are in the neighborhood pick up a couple sauces.

unfortunately they don't sell sucklebusters on the shelf here :( , what else do u recommend

I agree that everything Sucklebusters is awesome. However if you are out of time and can't get it watch this video. It gives you a really good pulled pork rub recipe. It's the BBQ w/ Franklin series.

I also concur with the post about the Franklin video. Simple and easy, and the finished product is pretty good.

I watched the Franklin video and tried the rub he used and let it sit about 2hrs then let it smoke like showed in the video, bout 6hrs then wrapped it in foil and continued smoke about 5hrs more....it fell apart and was awesome, so good, perfect smoke... thanks so much for the hook up on that site, my best smoke ever so far!!!
