Chile de arbol and Ancho chiles

Rehydrate

Smoke generator in place

Smoked three hours with hickory - some jalapenos and piquin chiles wanted to play

Into the Vitamix with 3 cups of the water used for hydration. Smoked paprika, garlic, salt and vinegar added.

Nice and smooth smoke flavor and not super hot.

I use allot of Chili de Arbol and have made a fine sauce ( Rick Bayless recipe) but I never though of smoking 'em :banghead: I'll be triyn that. :texas:
Never met a cow I didn't like with a little salt and pepper.
