What soy sauce do you use

Willie put a pic up of a marinade using kikkoman soy, I've used it but switched about a year ago to ketchup manis, it's just a sweeter more thicker and in my opinion , better soy. I made chicken and also beef kebabs for the family on Sunday, and they all raved at how moist and melt in your mouth the meat was. I think it's because I switched my soy to the new one. Anyone else use ketchup manis? Thoughts?

Lol, worst ever sauce, you crack me up, I now use it, when asked what I used for marinade the other day, I said worst ever sauce, they looked at me , huh??? Lol. I use it on everything, I worked about 40 odd years ago down the road from worst ever sauce factory, man I loved the smells drifting down to where I worked.

To answer your soy question I use Kikkoman Low Sodium.
It is not just to get less salt but it is a different formulation that includes lactic acid imparting a better flavor IMHO. Never used Kecap manis..

Lee Kum Kee and Kikkoman consistently win taste tests. I like them both. Kikkoman is half the price.

Okie, I guess we stick with what we know. I'm not going back to kikkoman again.

I don't normally use soy sauce but next time I do I'll give ketchup manis a try, is ketchup manis and Kecap manis the same stuff ???
Say what you will about Worcestershire sauce but I like it. I put it on burgers while I'm cooking them and mix it with Italian dressing and marinate steak's, been doing it for years.

We're talking about two different birds here. Kecap Manis is in the sweet soy sauce line, and it sweetened with palm sugar.

Yeah I realise this, it's just the only one I use now. I was just suggesting an alternative. I know it works for me and I'm just an amateur compared to some on here.

There's makin soy sauce and there's makin soy sauce the right way.
the big companies(and lotta chinese ones)really really cut corners here.
I look to see that there's no mention of wheat or wheat by products in the ingredients.
Am currently using san-j organic tamari. good stuff!
