Fall!

Postby TX1911 » Sun Sep 23, 2018 11:55 am

Celebrating the arrival of fall, and some moderately cooler weather, with some good friends this afternoon, so a fall themed dinner! Smoked turkey, mashed taters, dressing, green beans and, of course , pumpkin pie!

Turkey is on the pellet pooper, tucked in all nice and snug. One for our dinner and one for our neighbors.

Beekeeper: Let's do saddle up and go learn that gentleman his manners
Davy Crockett: We won't have to. He's wearing out horses coming towards us
Beekeeper: Guess we can't stop him from coming. But I reckon we can arrange for him to limp going back

Turkey is off and resting. Green beans are heading to the pit while the meat rests

Didnt get a picture of the whole meal, but the turkey turned out just right. Felt like Thanksgiving in September!
