Guess you could soak in a glass bowl, then lay out on a flat rock under the hot Dog Days Texas Sun. Might have to post a guard, four legged varmits and crows might find it a tasty treat.
The best hot sauce I ever ate was made in this fashion. A retired Leather Neck owned a bar a mile or so outside the main gate on the way to 29 stumps. He was married to a Mexican National who couldn't speak English. Would only give us gringos a teaspoon per burrito. The burrito's were beef and potato, but I only ever saw donkeys in the corral out back. Once in a while one would show up missing.
