BTW, about the only part of a pheasant that has any meat on it is the breast. If buying these birds, keep that in mind and don't spend a lot of $$$ on a whole bird.

The more I look at it and with DATs hint I'm thinking it is a Pheasant It's hard to tell from the pic, if you could see more of a view from the side it would help. Then you could see the breast shape.
