My understanding is that Western Wood oak is post oak. You can pick it up at Academy. Sometime back there was a place in Helotes you can buy different wood, not sure if they are still around. Jeff's backyard also sells wood, I picked up some oak a few years ago and cut most of it into chunks. Let me know what you find!

My uncle has an ENORMOUS tree that has finally decided to give up after an estimated 1300+ years existence (according to my cousin that holds a bachelor in horticulture) I pick up a load or 2 a month.. How much you looking for?

I get it for free so I would feel awful charging anything more than a beer or 2 for my troubles. ;)

Now that's a good question! Lemme see if I can arrange something for tomorrow. If not, I'll have to work out something else. I'll let ya know!

Meant to ask, is it already split or will I need to take care of that on my own? Just need to plan accordingly.

It will need to be split. Most is cut into 18-24" logs. Some of the larger branches aren't even cut yet.

Cool, no worries, I can get my hands on a splitter. Just name the time and place and we will work something out, just try and give me some notice unless you are close to the San Antone area, then it's easy.

Txdragon hopefully I didn't miss out on your offer. Do you still have some available?
