SD, you did good. I love it, Both the brisket and butt. If I cooked a brisket it would have to belong to some friends. I can't pay the price. CF

Yeah, CF, I know what you mean about the brisket prices. It's getting to where you can't hardly find a decent one for under $3 a pound. And the butts aren't far behind.

I paid $3.69/lb today for a 12# choice packer and thought I did pretty good.
Probably ought to weigh it after I trim the fat, but I guess I don't really want to know how much hits the trash can before the cooking even starts.
I have been eyeing the frozen turkeys the last couple times I have been shopping, they are pretty cheap per # compared to the pork and the beef.
