Frozen brisket

Postby egghead » Wed Oct 15, 2014 9:31 am

Have a couple frozen briskest but have always started with one straight from the store. How long will it take a 13# packer to thaw in the fridge? Thanks in advance.

I would say 3 - 4 days. It's about the same as thawing a turkey.

Id shoot for 4 to be safe. Unlike a turkey you don't have to be as careful when defrosting. So if you need to pull it out of the fridge for a little bit you can.
