I'll be smoking a half hog. My first attempt at this particular project!

Still haven't decided however, it may also be my July 4th Throw Down entry so I'd better not say at this time. However, I'm thinking about doing a glazed, peppered bacon, brown sugar, bourbon Rib Loin on some Pellets maybe this weekend. Not real sure just yet :dont:

With a few neighbors to help out, I'm cooking for our entire neighborhood (well, those that show up) on the 1st. So far I'm at 2 briskets, 2 pork butts, 4 racks of spares and some sausage and hotdogs.

So far we're at 51.

I imagine I'll post a ton of pics that weekend.

Won't likely be doing anything on the actual 4th. My wife works for a British company, so she doesn't get the day off.

Sore losers.

Picking up my new to me Rockin W smoker this weekend. I've got a brisket in the frig I bought a weeks ago. Will try and do a pork butt and some ribs. Might as well break in the smoker.

Brisket, ribs, and chicken. We are cooking the Fishin'Fiesta cook-off in Freeport Texas the weekend before. As for the actual fourth of July who knows
Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

Guess I better eat to thinking about it.

TX1911 - your wife needs to tell those folks to look at the scoreboard and then take the day off :)

Plan is to grab a few Pork Bellys and make burnt ends along with bacon wrapped jalapenos. I'd like to throw on a brisket, too, if I've got space on the smoker(s). I'll be traveling to OKLA so I may bring my drum up there and run it alongside my dad's offset for more cook-space.
UDS - Not so ugly, but I may be biased ;)

Sad to say but this year It's grillin' instead of smoking. Burgers and dogs for 50. Then a homemade ice cream contest! :flag: :texas: :salut:
