Smoked Bacon/Bourbon Apple Crisp
So last night I ran out of time for making Desert..
Tonight I conquered the rain with the help of my Muppets Lid lol..
Gala/Honeycrisp Apples, White/Brown Sugar, Flour, Lemon Zest, Cinnamon, Salt, Molasses, and the 2 Stars of the show, SMOKED BACON & JIM BEAM APPLE BOURBON WHISKEY..
The crumble was Butter, Flour, Brown/White Sugar, Salt, Ginger & Apple Snaps.
Smoked at 275/300 for 30 min over Apple Chunks, then up to 425 for 30 min to crust up the crumble..
Next for the topper is Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, just waiting for it to cool and set a bit.
Ok, so here it is..
The apples we're cooked Perfectly. Not mushy one bit, or too hard. The 4 Tablespoons of Jim Beam were the perfect balance, not too strong. The Bacon, only being 2 pieces was great as well. Every other bite we got a hint of Maple Smoked Bacon which was nice.
Overall, better than we expected now

Txdragon,
You should give it a shot. I was surprised on how simple it was to pull off.
bobcat1,
It's been a while since we had Apple Anything, so it was way over due.
Definitely something to do again very soon.
Emm,
Thx buddy, Larapin it was...
Sailor,
Thank you
I highly recommend it.
I mixed Gala and Honey crisp Apples....Don't forget the JB tho
PB & Russ,
Thank You, it was a good investment cuz I HATE coring and peeling apples lol.

Sons fave dessert is apple crumble, and I HATE peeling apples with a vengeance. Have to keep an eye out for something like this. I love kitchen gadgets.
