Curious to get the opinions of those that have used both. Specifically focusing on meat selection.
I currently use Costco for brisket and steaks primarily. Ive had pretty good luck with ribs and pork belly as well. I've been happy with the product and convenience.
Sitting on a coupon for a Sam's membership. $20 gift card with purchase of $45 membership. I've heard they carry beef ribs which I have been looking to buy for a while.
Let me know your thoughts. Please compare if you have experience with both.
Thank you!

Re: Sam's Club vs Costco
I can only speak for my area, but Sam's Club is pathetic for meats, whereas Costco has the full line.

Re: Sam's Club vs Costco
I have a membership to both, and I find Costco to be the better choice for meats. I picked up a couple of prime briskets there a few weeks ago. You don't see those at Sams.

Not a Sams member but I do shop wally and they have been selling choice packers for $1.96 for months..I think I saw that they were only going to offer choice in future what with the cattle prices dropping like a rock.
Seems funny that Sams would not have more or less the same deal.

If they buy from the same packers, Swift, BPA, etc; the quality will be the same. Take a tour of each first and See who they use.
As for me, I am limited only to Sam's as Costco is not here, BUT they carry everything I look for and will order if they don't have. Also, they carry cuts like bottom flats!!

Dang, prices may be going back up, just read that the USA just banned beef from Brazil over safety concerns...along with apparently most other developed countries.
Wonder where the briskets I've been cooking have come from?

I hope that's not true. The lower prices have been nice. Texans are building up their herds again since we've been getting some rains. Let's hope the rains continue.
