My Present to America Today

Postby jmcrig » Tue Jul 04, 2017 10:58 pm

This idea has been floating around Facebook for a couple of months now. And I'm quite sure you all would throw me off the site if I were to follow the recipe and Bake The Ribs. So I made up some sticky smoker baby backs, deboned them, and made a poor excuse for a Poorboy Sandwich out of them. And I must say that even without the lettuce, tomato, and onions, it was pretty darn good.

Looks fab!::thumbs

Love the concept and will need to copy it.

FYI: In New Orleans area, we call them Po'boys.

What rub and sauce did you use, if not a "family" secret?

Since I couldn't knock it off completely, didn't have the right bread, it had to be an Arizona version, so Poorboy fits.
It's not a secret the rubs I used, but this Forum is payed for by SuckleBusters, but I do believe some SPG and Hoochie Mama topped with Sucklebusters Honey BBQ Sauce is what my next run of these will be.

One of my friends and his wife love McRibs. I'm going to copy your method and blow their minds. :laughing7: Your sandwiches look amazing!

Remember to cook baby backs, and cook as you would for comp. When the comp ribs are done, take the bones out from the bottom, and cook wrapped for another 30 minutes or so. Unwrap, glaze/sauce, and back on the cooker to set the sauce. Enjoy.
