Thanks all!! Hopefully I can replicate this but the couple things I did differently was temp.. I ran a smidge hotter; 280, and the pepper. I used a generous amount of a medium grind black pepper. Credit goes out to (can't remember offhand, I'll find ya!) on that suggestion on a past brisket post from me.

The injection was good. Very simple. I used a beef bullion base called Better than bullion roast beef. Made 3 cups worth with an extra half spoonful of base, then added about a teaspoon of celery salt, 2 tablespoons white sugar, 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, and about 4 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar.
