Midnight Bourbon Bonz

Postby woodenvisions » Sat Jul 08, 2017 11:25 pm

I knew today was gonna be a long day, so I decided to make the best of it and throw some B Backs on the tabletop smoker. I'm not fond of the 3,2,1 for B Backs, i lean towards the 2,2.5,1 and then another 20 minutes to set the sauce up a bit.

Used some Mesquite slivers in the smoking tray, and spritzed every 45 minutes or so with a mixture of Apple Juice, Water, and Apple Bourbon Whiskey...
Also dropped about 1/2 a cup of that mix in the drip tray channels for a little moisture. The rub was a mix of Salt, Pepper, Brown Sugar, Cayenne, and Garlic Powder.

Finished them off on the Akorn to char the sauce a bit.Sauce was a mix of Apple Juice, Apple Bourbon Whiskey, Melted Butter and Brown Sugar and a pinch of Cayenne

Came out great, been a while since we had some great bonz :):)

Thx guys,

Boots..,
My buddy designed his own HD degreaser back in the early 80's. This is his newest bottle that he uses for his ( concentrate ) degreaser.
U put the concentrate in the ( green ) reservoir and water in the other. The dial designates the strength ratio. It does a stream and ( mist ) but u need to stay far back from the food when ur spritzing because it covers a wide area. It works great, I was able to control how much water to whiskey ratio by just turning the dial.

If ur interested, I can get one from him, I'll send it to ya.
Just PM me ur addy ok ?

Thanks Sailor,

I'm guilty of having wayyyyyy many more cooking/smoking/frying/grilling gadgets than I should probably have.
I have a Table Top Smoker/Roaster that's 110 v . I got it years and years ago. As a matter of fact, my very first brisket was done on it because at that point I didn't have any type of charcoal grill. To my surprise, it come out unbelievably well, smoke ring and bark along with it being very juicy.Ill have to dig DEEP for my jpeg of the cook, it's burried somewhere far far away.

Here it is, it does great on veggies as well.

Here it is
