So today I did my first long cook on my new Traeger Timberline 1300. I seasoned and injected Friday night and threw them on this morning. Cooked at 225 for about 6 hours with the "super smoke" setting with bacon on the grate above them. At 165 IT I bumped up the temp to 275 and they went in the pans and got covered, took them a little over 200 IT then let them rest in the pit on the "keep warm" setting which keeps the temps at 165(handy). This was two 10 pounders.
I have to say I like this cooker, I still want a bigger offset and will continue to cook on the one I have but this thing is great for when you want to BBQ but have yard work or whatever.
I guess I forgot to get a pic on the pit before covering. The pans were about half full of juices, I drained them into a big bowl before pulling so I could add the amount I wanted.
Bones pulled
I felt like it was a good ring for a pellet cooker
Pulled, probably my best pork butt to date
Pulling the bone, I probably could have let them go a little bit longer but I'm happy with the results. Also the gloves are clean (I guess you have to click to play)

The bone lifted out nicely! In fact, the pieces of meat that came with it just kinda fell off on their own. I'd say this was a score!!

T.B. that is some PPP - - - you should be proud - - - - thanks for reminding me of the bacon above trick - - - I built an extra rib rack for my Pellet Pooper but always seem to forget it's other uses.
