Brine question

Postby JustinCouch » Sun Sep 03, 2017 5:58 pm

I'm waiting for the ice to freeze so I can start my chicken brine and I have a question. Can I infuse the brine water with a seasoning? I have some Weber jalapeno garlic grill mate I'm thinking of using. My question is, do I need to boil the water and seasoning together to get the flavor into the water or do I just mix the seasoning with water? Or am I just pee peeing into the wind? Thoughts, comments?

You really don't have to boil the water. I make my brine without boiling a drop. You can certainly add the spices you like!
