How to be lazy and still enjoy your smoker

Postby norcoscia » Sun Oct 01, 2017 2:57 pm

I thought I would post a picture of my BB ribs from a few days ago - these were cooked on my smoker with the short ribs and pastrami which I posted about separately here.

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=30386#p253093

Busting out the smoker is an all day thing so I cooked three items (pastrami, BB ribs, and Short ribs) - after 3 or 4 hours I moved the short ribs and pastrami to my sous vide for for meals later in the week.

After the ribs were done I smoked peppers, tomatoes & onions from my garden - then they go into the dehydrator and then the grinder. (BTW, the smoked onions are great - I plan to make a big batch in a few days once the rain moves out).

Anyway - that is how I use the smoker once and get a bunch of stuff done - only one clean up and lots of meals....

Ribs were wrapped in butcher paper for the last 2 or 3 hours than sauced and finished on my weber...

It all looks great. Wish I had the dehydrator, grinder, and time to do my own spices like that. I can barely imagine how much flavor that imparts to your foods. Well done Sir, and welcome.
