Attn Bubbas
I'm wanting to come up with a temporary and disposable cutting board that is larger than what I normally use. I don't want to "BUY" a large cutting board because I would never use it again so have any of Y'all ever just used a large board or plywood or whatever to get you thru large chunks of animals that needed to be made into small pieces - - such as a Reunion, Birthday Party or Large Gathering???? I will accept almost any suggestion as long as it doesn't have a OU logo on it.

How about an 18 wheeler mud flap? About 20.00 at a truck stop and reusable.

Wouldn’t let you near my OU cutting board anyway :)
Have you looked into disposable? The comp guys could probably recommend one. I also have the name of a recommended brand at home. I’ll try to remember to look tonight…if my Sooner brain allows it :)

Re: Attn Bubbas
I have gone on Amazon or Ebay and purchased sheets of MDPE or HDPE (that's what the plastic cutting boards are made of). Then after the initial use I cut them up to fit cookie sheets or other pans I use to cut and serve Q.
Serves the purpose lasts long and I usually find lots of other uses for the stuff (like a low friction liner for my table saw fence or make a zero clearance insert for the saw blade).

Re: Attn Bubbas
thanks, Gents, I'm surprised that one of Y"all didn't just say to use a 1"x12" and then chunk it -- Sooner, if you need more time then the Reunion isn't until 2 weeks from Satdey

How big is 'big?' I'd be a little scared that whatever they use to treat plywood would come off on the meat. Could you buy a biiig cutting board and raffle it off after....?

We just have a lot of chopping boards, prolly 5 or 6. Plus a small table I use for large cuts of meat. Day to day I only use 1 or 2.
Good luck with your cook emm.
