She got this instant pot 8 qt electric toy and soon read about how some woman challenged her husband to cook some ribs to see who could make a better tasting rib. She told me that she would like to try and do that to me. Oh you know I'm down with this challenge. Friday can't come any sooner. She even told me tat I had to use my gas weber grill to finish off her St. Louis cut ribs for her. What the crap? I think she can hit the button and doit herself.

The BIG question is Who's Gonna Do the Tasting and "JUDGING" :?:
A little friendly competition is good for the Soul, however, so Good Luck  :salut:

Hmmmmm - you will obviously win but I would be careful about gloating or rubbing it in. :whiteflag:

You could lose for winning.

We just talked about it. There’s no issues there. I should be close to the same time as hers being done. She asked if I had liquid smoke and my response was yup I do. It’s the bowl of water that I’m using for ribs.

She’s being a good sport and I’ll let you know how it ends.

The strawberry bbq sauce is different sweet tart with a little heat at the end. I hope it connects well with the ribs.

Actually her was like my grandmother baked bbq chicken I had as a youth. They were good, a little more pull on the meat to remove from the bone than what I would like but they were good. The outside temp dropped while I was doing them and it was more difficult to get the temp steady so it took mine longer than I would have expected. They pulled off the bone but not as much shrinkage as what I normally see. The bones didn’t expose themselves as much as they usually do. I actually liked the strawberry bbq sauce. They got thick and complimented the sucklebusters better than I would have thought with a tail end of cayenne heat.

That looks real yummy. From the pictures, I can say that both of you did real well. Perhaps, a draw if I were to taste it.

Not a chance. I love the woman to death but I got to draw a line somewhere. My wife has a thing about fat. She will avoid something altogether if there is fat in it. I made the smoke pulled pork on Friday and she was the only one that did not try it. I had one child that was adamant that it was the best thing she has ever tasted and she hates pork. My wife refused to eat it. I have made stuff for dinner
In the past with full fat this or that and gave it to her saying that I did add any fat or oil to it but my daughters know and laugh about it afterwards.
