Wood showed up.

Postby bondobill » Sat Apr 07, 2018 12:12 pm

Pellets that is.
UPS driver was pretty happy I was home to help unload and Buck was in the house. :laughing7: If they see Bucks outside they usually leave my packages with the neighbors.
I mixed my order up a little bit this time. Besides Perfect Mix I ordered a few bags of 100 % Hickory and a couple bags of thier new Apple Mash pellets.

Threw a packer on the RecTec at 2am. Running with Hickory for the first 5 or 6 hours. About 6 hours in

Shouldn't be a problem of low humidity today. May have to run it naked a little longer then normal. Seems to be struggling to get a nice bark. :dont:

W modified baby moons on it too. Great deck setup, sharp and crisp, and the Rec Tecs are indeed a handsome cooker even with that orange paint job. Post some photos of ol Buck, any pooch that can scare off the delivery guys has got to have some visual moxy.

The garden tractor is a 1981 or there about 317 JD. Was a year old when I got it. I retired it bout 5 years ago. Over the years I replaced just about everything mechanical including the engine which is a 2 cylinder Kohler. It's got a rear PTO that I have a 36" rototiller attachment. I got a center blade for it. It also has hydraulics for a front end loader. The only thing I ain't touched is the hydrostat.i retired it when the steering gear bit the dust. About a year ago I bought a good steering gear on eBay. While I was putting that in I went ahead and rebuilt the carb, replaced the fuel lines drained and cleaned the gas tank. Kinda went thru everything cause it had been sitting for 5 years. Got it all back together went to fire it up, it turned over once then the starter bit the dust. Walked away from it, Gotta pull the engine again to replace the starter. I'll get around to it again one of these days.

He's a Belgian Malinois. At a 100lbs he's a little big for his breed.

Buck needs his own website,lol.
The story on the mower made me laugh, like the old story of the council worker saying he had the same shovel for 30 years. Only replaced the handle 20 times and the head of the shovel 15 times, lol.
