The ring is cosmetic only. I'd eat it!

Truth right there CAP !

I've always said Rings are overrated. Yeah, they sure do look nice, but I've never been able to close my eyes, chew and say...nope, no ring...

I woke up early to the thought of eating the corn beef...then it hit me. The outer layer is very similar to a hot dog snap when you bite into them. My daughter who loves corn beef she she got home last night immediately cut off a piece and said it’s too bad you’re in a diet. The rest will be mine now. So I guess she liked it.

Smoke ring or not, I would do it again.

I'd still eat it.
Looking forward to more camping trip with my family. I need a new tonneau cover to secure my equipment and pit.

How was the party? I missed something somewhere I was unaware you were smoking corned beef.

Yes I did corn beef as well. It tasted good just having had the time to eat more when my schedule. I loved the taste of the brisket I did. I did what you had said but needed to pull it out of the oven to eat it for this class party we had. The taste was good but it was a little dry. Different than the day before. Some of the pieces were very moist for the reheat just not mine. It did have a smoke ring where the corn beef did not. For 11 people, they were through almost 15 lbs of pulled pork via another students traeger and my brisket via stick burner.

Like many things re-heating is a tricky thing sometimes. It sounds like you had a good meal though Congratulations on pulling it off. :D :salut:

I placed it in the oven at 325 and checked the temp 108 and had to start my class. 10 minutes later I asked someone to check for me and she said it was still 108. I told her to pull it and cut it up. I couldn’t wait any longer.

We are good. This is an education every time you cook right? I’ve come a long way but still have much to learn. When the weather gets better I’m going to change a few things and get repaint it again.
