Ribs and gumbo class

Postby egghead » Tue May 29, 2018 7:23 pm

A good friend wanted to know how to make a gumbo so we had them over along with another couple. I knew one of the guys wasn’t a big gumbo fan and besides it’s not gumbo weather.

So I made a shrimp okra gumbo and coached my friend (retired fireman) making a chicken and andouille gumbo. Pretty sure he wants to visit the lads at the firehouse and make a gumbo - thumbs up on that.

Meanwhile two racks of baby backs on the egg. Ribs, two gumbos, potato salad, French bread, and an amazing banana pudding along with Moscow Mules and Fredricksburg beer.

Outstanding!! My only question is: What weather is NOT good for gumbeaux?!
