Wondering on a time line for smoked burgers. First time trying burgers an don't want them done to early and info would really help.

Ive never smoked a burger just grilled and griddles. Can’t imagine they take very long though. I’m sure one of the members will chime in soon with some good advice.

Plan on 30 to 45 minutes at 225-250 for a starting point assuming room temp meat. Bring internal temp up to at least 165 IIRC. Variables include pit temp and burger thickness. Good luck!

What he said plus don't go lean, use at least 80/20. I soak wood chips and keep adding for more smoke. I always figured wet wood would produce white/ gray smoke

Not really, they burn up quick, soaking just helps them not burn up so fast. I usually do it on fast cooks like burgers to get as much smoke as possible in a little time.Rambo wrote:I always figured wet wood would produce white/ gray smoke
But this is just my opinion. I have never over smoked a burger.
