Turkey leg goodness!

Postby Txdragon » Sat Nov 03, 2018 8:07 am

After a long search for some fresh turkey legs (not smoked already), I scored some and bought them all. Lol! Tossed em in a simple brine for about 30 hours and then smoked with kingsford and apple chunks. 275 for about 3 hours and they still had a while to go, these were monsters! Due to a late start, I had to finish them in the oven. Cranked it up to 350 and foil wrapped, they were done in another hour.

Pic from right before moving them to the oven..

Thanks! The smallest one here weighed in at 2 lbs. The biggest was almost 3.5.
