Verdict is it works! They got softer but still worked well. It’s a go for work.

OUCH, for some reason I was thinking that this would go AC/DC and you could keep it warm while traveling via 12volt - - - Ahhh but that's not the case is it?

No, but inverters aren’t that expensive if you wanted to keep it going in transport.
