Christmas butt

Postby Fooldancing » Mon Dec 24, 2018 10:47 am

This is the first time I've had the opportunity to smoke a ham for Christmas. I rubbed her down with brow sugar, and I'm letting it set for a couple of hours. I'm excited to see how it turns out.Image

No pictures yet. I just turned her over fat side down to crisp up the fat. I'm leaving for about 25 minutes. It should be done cooking then.

Is that butt intended for slicing?

Just wondering. I saw where it looked like a slice was taken off.

Wow, that looks great! I've never rubbed with just straight brown sugar before. Looks like it turned out nicely.

Merry Christmas!
