Super Bowl Smoke, 4 Briskets?

Postby Michael0506 » Wed Jan 30, 2019 7:23 pm

I bought 3, 12-14 pound Selects and 1, 11 pound prime for my Super Bowl smoke, All nighter Saturday!

I have a 24x40 LSG offset, should I put the smaller ones on top grate and larger on middle grate?

Or all 4 on middle grate, with points toward the FB!

Thanks

You can always rotate during the cook if you feel it’s needed.

Take pics and enter the Throwdown!

Nice pics. Bigger on bottom. Then flip after you wrap... of course depending on your sizes you could go both ways. Start them all at once.. or bigger first then go down in size. Reason I do that is for them to be all out around same time.. of course cooker and briskets will determine that also... really do your thing in your cooker. You drive it the way you want...

I love those LSG pits... I would think the top rack would be warmer, so I would consider putting the larger meat up there... I know that top rack is not too deep, so may not work. If not, probably best to just put the smaller one on a couple three hours later.

My stick burner top rack can only accommodate 1 brisket. You have plenty of room for your 4.... on my Kamado I can do 4 if I push it.... a customized top rack would probably be a he!!!!

Thanks,

So you mean, start the bigger ones at say 12am then the smaller size at say 2am! That sounds better to end them all together!
