Indoor Electric Grills - Has anybody tried?

Postby Grillseeker » Mon Apr 01, 2019 11:03 am

Hi :salut:

For those times where the weather does not permit outdoor grilling...has anybody tried indoor electric grills?

What are your opinions?

What cooker do you use?

Ease of use?

Taste quality?

Looking forward to some feedback! :chef:

We use a raclette grill. We are very happy with it. We cut steak, Chicken, Pork In small chunks and cook the them on the top. We also cook vegetables on the plate.

Cheese is melted in the small trays under the plate.

The plate gets really hot so the meat gets a good sear if you don't toss to much on it at once.

We put it in the center of the dining table with the food around so people can pick and cook the meat after their own liking. Very social meal.

Combined with some good sauces this is good. Didn't have the model name but it's similar to the picture below. I've had a couple and they are pretty much the same, but do get one where you can regulate the temperature. Some is only on/off and they are not so good. Image

Joe, is there anything you don’t have? You have a photo for everything you lucky rascal. Especially the photos of the pretty blond doing all the work. And the Fonz.

I have no electric grill in the house, only an electric skillet, and it gets very little use. I do most everything outside.

Haha. I don't have an awesome trailer pit (or a Blackstone, yet). :whiteflag:

Bought one about 25 years ago when we lived in a second floor apartment.
Gas and Charcoal grills were not allowed on the upstairs deck which is a no brainer so after suffering watching the neighbor below us grill steaks in the summer we had to do something.
Tabletop griddle, still have and and use it when its pouring out.
Works like it did when it was new, LOTS of good food came off of that over the years.

I'll " dig it out " and add a pic to this comment in a little bit.

Oh the perils of living in north Texas. Gas and charcoal grills on the 2 land floor were part of the lease agreement here. Mandatory. Only thing we burned on the inside was insense.
