ok here in Albuquerque wood is a precious commodity. goes for as much as gold it seems hahaha. so, what i am looking for help with is....
does anyone know of a mesquite source(read cheap to free) in the panhandle or far west Texas and even southern New Mexico? i am willing to go there, cut, and haul it off myself. i am in the market for about two cords at this time. and probably another by years end.
sure hope one of ya'll has a connection you can share.

Glen, give Berry Brothers in Phx. a call. If they do anything up in the Rim Country, maybe you can work something out. If you do the Payson/Heber route, it's only six hours to Phx.

Re: need wood info
i check out CL almost weekly, as far as my having to cut, stack and haul, that's not a problem. plan on having two saws running, one waiting and one guy stacking. rotating shifts.
did this a few years back and managed to cut around three cords total in a three day weekend.
and Jim, i will have to check out BB's just was hoping to keep the one way drive under four or five hrs.
thanks again guys for all your help.
