Recent Dinners, Chicken - Steak

Postby bowhnter » Wed Jun 06, 2007 7:21 am

My first attempt at spatchcock chicken Sunday. It was the best and most moist I think I have cooked. I used some Dales sauce and Plowboy chicken rub.

Ribeyes from last night. The pepper and grape tomato are the first fruits of my plants. We have a small herb space that comes in real handy. Grape and better boy tomato, jalepeno pepper, cilantro, dill, basil, parsely, chives, and thyme.

The sauce on the steaks is some butter and blue cheese mixture my wife made along with the sauted mushrooms.

I'm not usually hungry first thing in the morning, but that looked wonderful! Perfect colors on the chicken! I would love to see a picture of your herb garden. I'm still trying to figure out how to do one with animals running everywhere outside!

Here ya go Laura. It is about 2 1/2 ft deep and about 15 ft long.
Almost forgot about the little rosemary bush at the end. Some trimming is in order, and hopefully we can dry out and get the tomato plants lookin better.

Wow! I'm so jealous! Any problems getting the cilantro to grow? My sis has never had any luck with it. I'm trying to figure out how to do raised beds. Everything looks bug and creature free!!
Thanks for doing that for me!

Everything seems to grow OK as long as I keep it trimmed (which I don't know much about). :?
My dogs and the occasional rabbit go wandering thru but for the most part it is working out. :)
