Long time no grilling!
Got two nice T-Bones for the New Years Eve.
High heat charcoal treatment.
Looks good to me!
Made some Hasselback potatoes for the side.
Sterno Jr. ready to attack!
Wash down the steak with a nice and strong red wine. Happy New Year 2014 everyone!
Cheers,
Sterno

Re: NYE T-Bone Celebration!
Man them steaks look yummers! It's hard to find a good t-bone around here. You like a good strong red, give cellar 8 Cabernet Sauvignon. It's very tannic, oaky, has a mild peppery finish

Re: NYE T-Bone Celebration!
Thank you all for your kind words!!
Hasselback potatoes is an old Swedish recipe for tasty and nice looking potatoes made in the oven. I just slice the potatoes finely, but not all the way. Put them in a tray, poured maybe a cup of veal stock in the tray to give them some more taste and to keep them moist, pooured clarified butter on them, sprinkled sea salt on them and baked them for 20 minutes in 400F oven. Then took them out, sprinkled a mixture grated parmigianno reggiano cheese and bread crumbs on them, more clarified butter and back to the oven until they are done (another 20-30 minuted).
That should be quite a traditional recipe. If you google hasselback potatoes, you will find lots of variations and simpler versions.
Cheers,
Sterno

Re: NYE T-Bone Celebration!
Anything simpler than what you posted sterno, they would be just plain baked potatoes. Lol!
