Labor of Love Bonz

Postby OldUsedParts » Sat Mar 04, 2017 10:10 am

My oldest son called yesterday and reluctantly asked me if I'd do some Pork Ribs for them today. He added that his wiffy, my Daughter-In-Love wanted some Pawpaw Ribs. Well, of course, I said "sure no problem". Next thing I know he calls me yesterday afternoon and said "can you meet me at the Valero blah blah blah, I've got two racks of ribs to get to you." Briefly let me add, that they have really had a lot of stuff hit them lately with loss of job, teenage son @*&%)@(% and her trips to the E.R. so his bucket is full and now that he's employeed, he needs to get things done on the weekend besides baby sit Pig Bonz.

Enter Pawpaw: got the two racks rinsed, dried, lathered with honey mustard and seasoned with garlic powder, coarse ground black pepper and brown sugar. Fired up the Pellet Pooper with Apple pellets and they're sleeping in at 200 to 250 for 3 hours before the wrap. Final pics will be posted dis ennin. Their big meal is Supper so I'll wrap and put in the cooler for transport later today.

Thanks Gents, :salut: however, I'm just one of Millions that considers it the greatest "Gig" ever.

Ribs are wrapped with several layers of foil and towels and in the cooler ready to transport

"So far" they've stayed on the bones but not without ultra-gentle handling.

Took the Ribs to my Son's without tasting :banghead: and while I was there he said he had some stuff in the freezer he wanted to send back with me. Low and behold he brought out 2 pkgs of Quail, a pkg of Venison Cajun Boudin and a pkg of smoked Venison jalapeno cheese sausage. My mind had been spinning on just how I want to treat that Quail.
