Ugly plate, good idea

Postby Sailor Kenshin » Thu Mar 09, 2017 9:06 pm

Knowing Wednesday was going to be warmish, we got some chicken thighs and wondered how to prep them. The previous Sunday, when our oven blew up, we had some Chinese takeout, and there was an enormous bag of soy sauce, mustard, and duck sauce packets left over from then.

So I squeezed these packets out over the chicken, added some Catalina dressing, let them marinate a while, then hit the mini-Q.

We were 75 percent done eating before it occurred to us: 'Oop, should have taken pics.'

Well, anyway...

Tasted good. Looked pretty, too, when it first came in.

Oh, right...that item in the foreground is tots, cooked in a pan under a weight. Because the oven blew up. :P
Moink!

Don't feel bad about the mid-eaten dinner. I normally take pictures of oysters on the half shell with nothing in them.
