I've been using a pot to smash things down but it's a little cumbersome.

Bacon, egg & cheese tortillas came out great this morning.

I can only speak for myself, but I roll up a softball sized hunk o Angus and throw it straight down on the Black Stone and finish it off with a mallet for my smash Burger.
