Just Some Lunch...
...which landed in this sub-forum 'cause the Russ-Dusted Chicken Thighs were originally grilled. Now cut in strips and tossed in a hot pan, served alongside garden beans and a waffled hash brown patty.
Nothing fancy, but we licked the plates.

Great use ma'am, we love beans, especially butter beans, I'm lucky the wife grows our own. Any dessert with that great plate?

No, that one pepper was a Carmen. A little like an Italian frying pepper, but with better flavor. We already ate two of the Coolapeños. Nice, thick-walled, good taste. If they only had Medipeños, unlike the Scorchapeños we grew last year that made people fall down the next town over.

And the beans are still our home-grown varieties (both yellow and green). The plants are slowing up now, however. I'm no longer picking over 2 dozen beans per day. But there still should be more bean dishes in our future.

We forgot to succession-plant every couple weeks. Doing that extends the harvest time. And I like the yallow beans because the green ones HIDE from you until they're big and tough.
I find frozen beans not bad at all, but ya gotta cook 'em and heat up yer kitchen. So I save those for fall, winter, and spring.
Here's The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly:
Carmen peppers, similar to Italian frying...dark green, long, pointy. Gypsy are pale, blunt-nosed, prolific. A couple of Coolerpenners up front, with the ugly chewed Better Bush tomato (these are somehow all turning half-rotted, half green). Draped in between, the scallion stubs that have been supplying us all spring and summer.

Re: Just Some Lunch...
I've never raised the yeller ones but I certainly see you point on the camo aspect
That bowl just looks like Pre-Salsa to me
I may try and find some cool penners next year and do a pot or two just so the Wiffy will eat my Tex-Mex Dishes and I'll still get the penner pepper taste which I really like. I can always add the heat to my serving
