Why'd I choose chicken????

Postby bondobill » Sun Jul 16, 2017 8:14 am

With my wife gone this weekend I was trying to decide what I wanted for dinner last night.
I had a nice bone in ribeye thawed out in the fridge. Also had fresh Salmon fillets in the fridge that I had caught while fishing on Friday.
I had to run to the grocery store to pick up some French bread and while there I spotted a package of 4 Clucker thighs for a 1.39. I don't have any idea why I went with the thighs for dinner over my other options but the chicken ended up on the Weber. :dont:

Rub was a combination of SBs Clucker dust and Texas Pecan. Finished them off with Chipotle BBQ sauce.

Buck and I shared the hot Italian sausage

Surf and turf on the menu tonight.

Well it sure does look good. Nothing wrong with the simpler things in life.

Looks good, but chicken vs. ribeye -- get a grip man! I think it is time for an intervention. :laughing7:

Threw some sweet unyuns and shrooms along with butter and Gators Cajun seasoning in a tin.....almost forgot...threw in a couple of Oysters in the mix
When the steak was done I threw on a half dozen butterflyed 13 count prawns seasoned with Oldbay and Lemon pepper

To be honest, it all looks good! I will dub this the SEAL meal: it represents sea, air, and land!
