It's Good Friday - - - for me and mine

Postby OldUsedParts » Fri Aug 04, 2017 5:01 pm

First of all I'll do a quick update on my D.I.L.s surgery today. They started the surgery at 10:30 and finished her Hip replacement 3 hours later - - - EVERYTHING WENT GREAT  Except they couldn't do the fractures in the Arm because of her blood loss during the Hip Surgery and since she is a Heart Patient, they decided to let this be all for today. She is in ICU resting and doing great. They will leave her breathing tube in for a few days and decide when they want to go in for the Humerus repair. My Son is a ROCK and the Antithesiologist (sp?) did a superb job keeping her sedated and comfortable without bothering her vital signs at all. More on her later.

Another reason it's Good Friday is we got a large brown envelope from N'york with some cool frameable goodies from Lawn-Gyland - - - - I plan on framing most of these goodies except for the deck of 52 for my Wall of Fame and it will go up next to my Cajun Friends Visit Frame and other memorabilia - - - - thanks Y'all - - cool goodies fo sho  :salut:

NOW FOR THE CHILLIN AND GRILLIN - - - - I had a Ribeye defrosted in the frig when my Son called this morning and I decided to wait on eating until absolutely necessary. Well, I got home around 3pm and "it was absolutely necessary TIME". Fired up the Kettle and threw on the Steak and some Pure Pork Sausage Links and thought the Wiffy might eat some but she settled for a Loaded baked Sweet Tater. I rarely eat this much this late in the ennin but I deserved it and was hoongry . :laughing7: :D  Pepcid is down and so is Supper. :salut:

THE SEASONING OF THE DAY was SuckleBusters Campfire Steak Seasoning - - - awesome

Great news on your DIL's surgery. Everything seems to be moving in the right direction.

We're also glad you got a little something in the mail to brighten your day.

All looking good on all counts Emm. Have you ever done a stuffed sausage? Also called dressed sausage here. It's where you have a cooked sausage and cut it from end to end, but not all the way through. You open it up and fill with mash tatter then grated cheese then lashings of tomatoe sauce. Heat in the oven then eat it. I make these here all the time.

thanks, Y'all, David called last night and was "Home" fixing him some brisket quesadillas and "FIXIN" to hit the Hay. Hopefully he got some much needed rest.

Good to hear the surgery went well and she is doing fine!
To help on another matter, it's "Anesthesiologist" Lol!
Food is looking delish, nothing short of what I'd expect to see here! Excellent job, sir!

It sounds like good news all around! I do have a complaint though. I seem to look at everyone's posts at night. Everyone's pictures look so good that it makes me hungry and it's to late to eat! :dont: :laughing7: :banghead:
