It looks soooooo gooooood....just curious: How does the slicer stack up against an electric knife or some razor-sharp kitchen knife?

Great for some things, not so much for others. I wanted it for slicing cold meat for philly cheese steaks. I'm going to do some potatoes for chips later today. Got sidetracked yesterday. I take a couple pics. I need to do some cheese and veggies for sandwiches so I'll get an idea. Do some of the turkey too.

Ok, the verdict is in. I'll take my good knife anyday over the slicer for most things, or at least this slicer. What did I expect for $30.00, well I expected it to slice consistently without having to hold the thickness knob for one thing. It is great for onions, tomatos, not so much for meat unless it is almost frozen, and cheese is iffy as well. It sticks to the blade. Sliced up some chips real well so I guess Ill keep it. As usual, I didnt remember to take pics till it was all "built" but here was last nights supper. Under all that is a turkey and smoked gouda sub with fresh veggies, a broccoli and bacon slaw with home made jalapeno and tomatillo aoili, a couple of pickled jalapenos and fresh homemade tater chips witha ranch dusting.

It was good. Oh, here is a pic of one of the turkey breasts prior to slicing. The other is long gone.

Hand over one of those sammies and no one gets hurt! :laughing7: :salut:

We seriously have to attempt this, one way or another. What are the squiggles on the raw turkey? At a guess I'd say mayo?

Just squeeze butter for a little extra moisture.
