Pecan Dusted Smoked Bacon

Postby woodenvisions » Wed Aug 09, 2017 7:10 pm

Ok, so I've had this lb of thick smoked bacon looking at us every time we open the fridge..
Lightbulb goes on ( in my head ), not just the fridge. So I fire up the lump, throw the bacon in the Paella Pan and hit them with this good stuff and see what becomes of it..

Well, if you like candied bacon with a slight Pecan flavor, give it a go !!

Excellent   ImageImageImageImageImage

WOW, that is some nice looking Bacon  :salut:

(dumb question: why doesn't your bacon crinkle and wrinkle when you fry it?)

Thx bro,
No such thing as a dumb question Emm....
Ive Never given that a thought, but now that you ask..

I would guess because it's so thick.
I'm not a fan of thin bacon, but if I remember correctly when I did do it thinner, it did in fact curl up like a Slinky going down the cellar steps.
